Crowns and Bridges

Porcelain crowns are an ideal way to restore a tooth that is damaged, chipped or stained. They are custom-fitted to your teeth and blended to match with surrounding teeth for a natural, comfortable result. Dr. Polasky can significantly change the shape, contour, size and color of your teeth and completely change your smile by placing crowns on your teeth. Cosmetic crowns feel comfortable and natural in your mouth and can dramatically improve your smile.

You may need a full crown or cap to cover a chipped, stained or broken tooth.  Porcelain crowns completely cover a damaged tooth, making it more durable and aesthetically pleasing. They are custom-fit for your teeth and tinted to blend in with surrounding teeth, making for a natural-looking, comfortable result.  A ceramic crown can restore a tooth to its normal shape, size and color while improving the appearance of your smile and the added bonus of making the damaged tooth stronger and more resilient. A crown can also be used to attach a bridge, protect a weak tooth from breaking or restore one that is already broken. All ceramic, porcelain crowns have no metal which makes it more aesthetically attractive than a metal crown by avoiding a gray or dark shadow at the gum line that can come with metal crowns.

All porcelain crowns can completely change your smile or help restore your teeth to their natural beauty.  Dr. Polasky devotes a significant amount of time and attention to completely understand your goals and the appearance you would like to achieve. She considers every detail in helping design your new smile for you and selecting the right materials to produce the results you desire.

A bridge is a device used to replace missing teeth that attaches artificial teeth to the adjacent, natural teeth. Bridges can be applied either permanently as fixed bridges or they can be removable. Fixed bridges are applied by either placing crowns on the abutment teeth to provide support for artificial teeth or by bonding the artificial teeth directly on the abutment teeth. Removable bridges are attached to the teeth by either metal clasps or precision attachments. Dr. Polasky can recommend the most appropriate options for you.
